When past clients call...it is awesome!
Yesterday was a great day because I received a call from a past client. Four years ago, I had sold their home and helped them buy their new home. It was going to be their last move. They absolutely loved their new home and made many improvements to make it even more perfect for them.
But now they are thinking that they may need to downsize and they called me to ask about a house they had seen. They also asked if I could help them when they decide to make the transition. Of course I will! They were the perfect clients then, and they will be the perfect clients again. If they do decide to downsize, I am going to help them with their next goal.
I try to keep in touch with all my past clients, hoping that they will come back to me when they need me or to refer friends and family to me. Of course, everyone wants referrals and repeat business, but I am not sure that clients realize how much we appreciate it when they call us. I don't think there is anything better than getting referrals from past clients, except when past clients call...it is awesome! And it never gets old!
