I Hear Birds!

I know we have birds year round in Connecticut, but I can't recall hearing any lately. Maybe it's because there has been so much snow that the windows are shut tighter than a drum or maybe it's because I haven't ventured out as much as I usually do. Or maybe even the birds didn't have much to sing about!
But yesterday, I heard birds. Is there any sound more welcoming? Today is going to almost 60 degrees here and I am sure the birds will be singing. In fact, I can hear them already. I think I will be singing along with them.
We made it through the worst of winters and now we can really look forward to spring. The snow will melt eventually (although it is still three feet high at the end of my driveway) and people will be ready to rejoin the living.
I have a full day of showing houses on Sunday, and I am hoping that the spring-like weather will encourage more buyers to start their search.
But today I am going to get out there, take a walk, listen to some birds, and hope that the worst is behind us.
