Trade In Your Holiday Lights for LEDs at Home Depot
I am not one to be thinking about Christmas this early, but I saw an ad this morning in the Home Depot flyer. Until November 13, 2011, you can trade in your old holiday lights for new LED lights to receive from $3 to $5 off a new set (up to five strings per customer).
Why trade in your old lights for new LED lights?
- They use less energy than old incandescent lights.
- They last longer - up to 20,000 hours!
- They are cool to the touch so there is less chance of overheating or burning holiday decorations.
- They are made of plastic instead of glass.
- Most types will stay lit even if one light goes out.
- They offer as much variety as the old ones in size, color, etc.
When you turn in your old lights at Home Depot, they will recycle them and give you a discount on new ones. Who doesn't want to save money and be more energy efficient?
