The weather has been glorious the past few days! It feels as though winter is finally over and we can start thinking about spring. You can just feel the energy surging once again, and before you know it the urge to clear out the clutter will take hold. There's nothing more satisfying than getting rid of stuff you are never going to use again...

....like old musical instruments. If your house is anything like mine, we have left over instruments everywhere. My kids all dabbled in music--violin, flute, sax, piano, guitar, drums, etc.
Here in Connecticut, there is an organization called Horns for Kids that will take old instruments (including brass, strings, percussion, and woodwind) and distribute them to kids who need them. It's a non-profit organization so contributions and donations are tax deductible. They will even take pianos.
So if you are spring-cleaning and come across any musical instruments you don't need, consider donating them to a worthy cause. It's a great way to support music education and clean out your garage at the same time.
