In a previous post (How Do They Do It?), I sung the praises of a few products for keeping a seller's home in show-ready condition. In fact, my sister currently has her home on the market, and she told me this awesome tip that I just had to try for myself.
She found a new use for Mr. Clean Magic Eraser: She uses it to clean tile grout, which restores it to its original color (the kitchen floor looks amazing). So I had to try it today on my bathroom floor--the difference is unbelievable. Just to see if I would get the same results using a scrub brush, I tried half with the brush and the other half with the magic eraser. The scrub brush did nothing except build up my biceps. I will warn you though that the grout will shred the magic eraser by the time you are through, so have plenty on hand.
But the really great thing is that I bought an off-brand at Ocean State Job Lot and was just as satisfied as I was with the Mr. Clean product--at a fraction of the price.
Cleaning isn't exactly a fun, exciting activity, but it can be very rewarding--especially if you don't have to work that hard at it!
