Auction at the Lutz Children's Museum in Manchester CT
A goods and services silent auction will be held at the Lutz Children's Museum in Manchester CT on Friday November 5. At 6:00 p.m., refreshments and the silent auction will begin. A live auction hosted by Scot Haney will begin at 8:00. Tickets are available in advance for $20 or at the door for $25. The proceeds of the auction will benefit the educational programs of the Lutz Children's Museum, which has served Manchester and surrounding towns since 1953. Hazel P. Lutz, then the Chairperson of the Art Department for Manchester schools, approached the PTA Council about starting a community museum. The PTA Council voted in favor of it and named it after Lutz. The Lutz Children's Museum has had several homes since its inception, but it has been at its current location on South Main Street since 1982.
The Lutz Children's Museum provides a wide variety of programs and services for children, including an extensive list of classes, concerts, and trips for children and their families. It also has an outreach programs, preschool programs, and afterschool programs.
The auction at the Lutz Children's Museum on Friday, November 5, 2010 will support educational programs. With food, music, and an auction hosted by Scot Hany, you are sure to have a fun time and contribute to a great cause. See you there!
