Stop and Shop Food for Friends Program
With every holiday season, there is a push for more donations to stock up local food pantries and services providing holiday meals to families who need them. This year, with two major storms within a short period of time, the supply has significantly been depleted and the need is greater this year.
Local Stop and Shop stores will be collecting food and money to help stock food pantries and make donations to those who need help during the upcoming holiday season. They do this every year, but it is important to contribute this year.
If you are like most busy shoppers, you might hurry in and out of the store so fast that you don't see the large containers collecting food. It's easy not to notice.
So Stop and Shop is making it really easy this year by asking you at checkout if you would like to buy a paper turkey for $1 or any amount you choose. Simply say yes, write your name on the turkey, and the amount will be added to your bill. The dollar will mean much more to them than it will to you.
Shop often, say yes often, and help feed those in need. Happy Holidays!
