October 2010 Market Report for Vernon CT
During October 2010, there were 11 closed sales with a median price of $156,000; October 2009 showed 25 closed sales and a median price of $194,900. This is a significant decrease in both number of homes sold and median price.
Like other towns reported on, Vernon's closed sales did not differ significantly from September's figures. Median prices do not seem to follow a trend, however, with the median going up some months and down the next. (September 2010's figures were 12 homes sold and a median price of $173,000 compared with 20 homes sold and a median price of $186,000 in September 2009).
