
With the help of the first-time homebuyer tax credit, business was brisk during October and November.
In Manchester, there were 49 closed sales in October 2009 compared to 37 in October 2008. The median price in October 2009 was $195,000 compared to $182,000 for October 2008.
In November 2009, there were 43 closed sales, compared to 38 in November 2008. The median price in November 2009 was $185,000 compared to $181,500 for November 2008.

With the extension of the first-time homebuyer credit and the addition of the $6,500 credit for any homeowners who have been in their homes for at least five years, we are hoping that we will continue to see recovery in the housing market.
With low interest rates, moderate home prices, and good inventory, why wouldn't people look for their dream home now?
